"Do not be afraid: for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the City of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find the baby wrapped in cloths, and lying in a manger." [Luke 2:10-12]
Season's Greetings!
We trust you had a great Thanksgiving and hope that you were able to enjoy a long holiday weekend packed with good food, the ones you hold dear, and a little football here and there!
Ready or not, the holiday season is upon us . . . Advent, Hanukkah, Christmas and the beginning of the New Year are just days away. All that being said, my holiday wish for you is that you will be able to "find time" to truly enjoy this beautiful time of year.
One of our favorite Christmas traditions at The Cox Connection is the sharing of family recipes. This year we've included everything from quick and easy side-dishes (Scalloped Pineapple) to festive desserts. It's the classic "from our home to yours!" Also, if you have misplaced any of our previous years' recipes, our entire collection of "Holiday Recipes Through the Years" is now available on our website. Print it out at your leisure and enjoy (it's an eight pages PDF file . . . so it might take some time to pull up)!
And now, a holiday toast . . .
To those of you who will be celebrating Hanukkah, God bless you and yours this Holiday Season;
To those of you who will be celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, may the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ fill your hearts not only at Christmastime, but always;
And, to all of you . . . Everything in Moderation, Right?
From our home to yours, have a safe and joyous Holiday Season, and best wishes to you in 2009!
